Hi, I’m Lucy – a mum of three, a teacher by trade, and someone passionate about helping families thrive.
My journey into natural living began over eight years ago when my eldest son was around three years old and we were navigating ongoing challenges with eczema. Like many parents, I started looking for answers and quickly found myself down a rabbit hole of ingredients, food choices, household products and the impact they can have on our health and wellbeing.
What began as a search to help one little boy soon became a passion for our whole family.
As we gradually made changes to the foods we were eating and the products we were using in our home, we noticed a difference. While those changes helped my son, they also helped all of us feel better. It opened my eyes to the power of nourishing our bodies with real food and being more mindful of what we put on and around ourselves every day.
Real food remains a priority in our home. We believe in choosing ingredients that nourish, support and allow our bodies to thrive. The same goes for the products we use throughout our home – thoughtful choices, natural ingredients and quality products that make everyday living a little simpler.
I have always been passionate about helping others thrive. As a Physical Education teacher, and through my work delivering nutrition and wellbeing education in schools, I spent many years helping children and families learn how to better nourish their bodies and support their overall health.
After becoming a mum myself, that passion took on a whole new meaning. What I was teaching others became something I was living every day in my own home, and my desire to learn, research and share grew even stronger.
Over the years, I began sharing what we were learning and using through social media. What started as simple recommendations, favourite finds and everyday inspiration gradually grew into a wonderful community of like-minded people looking to create healthier homes and lives.
Nourish & Nest was born from that journey.
Our goal isn’t perfection. We don’t believe you need to do everything at once, and we certainly don’t do everything perfectly ourselves. We simply believe in doing the best we can with the information, resources and season of life we’re in.
We love supporting local and Australian businesses wherever possible, and you’ll find many of them throughout our store. At the same time, quality will always come first. If we discover a product that aligns with our values and genuinely earns a place in our home, we’re open to sourcing it from wherever in the world it comes from.
